Soloway Coffee Roasters was established in 2016 by Arthur and Iryna Yuzvik starting out in the city of Ternpoil, Ukraine.

At the beginning of 2024, Soloway came to Chicago providing a bustling space for specialty coffee, pastries and food, this Summer Soloway brought a new concept to the city in Abrah. A bistro open from breakfast to dinner, Abrah offers an approachable cafe and dining experience with the same attention to quality and service Soloway has had since the very beginning.

Why did you choose to partner with Spirit Tea?

During the Soloway menu designing we wanted to find local suppliers and discovered Spirit Tea. After we met with the Spirit team and had our first cupping with Jordan, we saw how passionate you guys are about tea. You don't bring just a product; you show what and who stays behind it. We understand that we want to work with you. And I can definitely tell that the more we work together the more we enjoy it.

What are your favorite aspects of the fall season?

From the manager's aspect, I like to watch how people try to catch and enjoy the last sunny days. And for me personally fall is my favorite season cause it’s finally not too hot, you can walk near the lake and enjoy how nature changes color.

Which tea on your menu best represents Soloway and Abrah?

I would say it’s the Mountain Marigold because for us as Ukrainian marigolds have a deep historical connection, and also marigolds are a symbol of maternal love and protection.

In 2024, Soloway hosted Spirit Tea on their patio for a guided matcha tasting, with a second public event happening at Abrah this coming month!
